  The Musical Offering  (1747)

                   The Musical Offering was a set of works for solo harpsichord and chamber ensemble dedicated
                   to Frederick the Great of Prussia and based on a melody that Frederick had given Bach at a  
                    1747 meeting at Sanssouci, where Bach's son, Carl Philipp Emanuel, was the court composer.
